Drake is flexing his TV muscles once again, this time with a tantalizing new project called Saint X.
Hulu recently announced the upcoming premiere of this gripping eight-part psychological drama series, set to debut on April 26th. Fans can look forward to the first three episodes on that date, with the remaining five episodes released on a weekly basis.
Written by Leila Gerstein and based on Alexis Schaitkin’s book, Saint X weaves a multi-dimensional tale of a young woman’s death during a luxurious Caribbean vacation, and the subsequent ripple effect it has on her surviving sister’s quest for the truth. The story unfolds through various points in time and perspectives, keeping viewers on the edge of their seats as they unravel the mystery.
Adding to the show’s already impressive pedigree, Drake and his longtime manager Adel “Future” Nur serve as executive producers, joining forces with Gerstein and director Dee Rees. Stephen Williams will also executive produce, along with David Levine and Zack Hayden from Anonymous Content.
With its stellar cast and crew, Saint X is poised to be an unforgettable TV experience. Get ready to embark on a journey of intrigue and suspense, courtesy of one of the world’s biggest music stars.
Victoria Pedretti, known for her standout performance in “The Haunting of Hill House,” was originally slated to star in an upcoming series. However, she departed from the project due to “creative differences,” and the role of the leading lady went to Alycia Debnam-Carey of “Fear the Walking Dead” fame.
Debnam-Carey will join a talented ensemble cast, which includes West Duchovny as Alison, a young woman grappling with her privilege while vacationing with her family at a luxurious island resort. Josh Bonzie portrays Clive ‘Gogo’ Richardson, a character who transforms from a shy and clumsy 20-year-old to a hardened and experienced adult. And Jayden Elijah plays Edwin, a charming resort employee with dreams of escaping the island’s confines for the big city.
The series promises to be a riveting experience, and fans can catch a glimpse of what’s in store through the first-look images released. With a cast of talented actors and a promising premise, this series is one to watch out for.
