YB once again demonstrates that he works 365 days a year.
NBA YoungBoy, as usual, keeps his fans guessing. The rapper from Louisiana is back with a new single just one day after releasing his Lost Files mixtape. He released the track, titled “No Sleep,” on YouTube earlier today (December 24). Currently, streaming numbers are approaching 250K.
“This shit is crazy my n*gga,” the 23-year-old writes in the video’s caption. I’m not going to pray for it, and I’m not going to stay up all night for it. I will not be broken. I’m grateful no matter what.”
“They wish I was f*cked up, time then changed,” he continues. I’ll show up when you least expect it.”
YoungBoy reflects on his life before fame throughout his lyrics. “High school, knew the kids, they knew I was wearin’ the same uniform back to back / Grandma left me as a kid, time passed, she ain’t never come back,” he muses in the first verse.
“On the road doing sows, the murder came, and it was history after that / My sister sayin’, ‘Leave me alone,’ and I’m in her room tryna make her listen to me rap.”
YB later admits in the song that falling in love was his “biggest mistake.” “I wish it never came around,” he says solemnly.
