Motown reportedly signs NBA YoungBoy.

NBA YoungBoy is said to have signed a new deal with Motown.

In August of this year, the rapper ended his contract with Atlantic Records, where he released four official studio albums and numerous mixtapes, earning multiple number one singles on the Billboard 200 chart. Ma’ I Got A Family (Gangsta Grillz), his most recent album, was also released on Friday by Atlantic. It is unclear whether NBA still has a project to deliver on Atlantic Records.

According to Billboard, YoungBoy will begin releasing music on Universal Music Group’s Motown label in 2023. The rapper already has a relationship with Motown, having signed a deal with his Never Broke Again collective in September of last year. They’ve released two compilations since then: Never Broke Again: The Compilation Volume 1 (2021) and Green Flag Activity (2022).

NBA and the crew will also release their third project, Nightmare on 38th Street, on October 28.
