Renowned radio presenter pastor Sipho Kaleni has died
Sipho Kaleni – a beloved pastor and popular radio DJ from Johannesburg- passed away on August 1st after being sick for months. The powerhouses of Crown Gospel Music Awards confirmed his death in an official statement released today, which read: The world gospel powerhouse is saddened to confirm the passing away of one of the founding members of Crown Gospel music awards, Sipho Kaleni.
Crown GMA was instrumental in establishing the legacy that it now represents; thanks to its charismatic leader who played so many pivotal roles within the organization. From MC, Radio announcer and an ordained minister at South African Christian Denomination (SDA), it wasn't uncommon for anyone tuning into his station or attending a live service to know him personally. The loss will be deeply felt by those nearest him but we are certain he would've preferred it that way too- bringing people closer together with laughter, joy and strength all while celebrating life through music.
