Shudu becomes Goodwill Ambassador for the Global Surgery foundation
The Mental Health Advocate Shudufhadzo Musida has been appointed as a Goodwill Ambassador for the Global Surgery Foundation. Speaking about her appointment, she said it was an honor to be on such a distinguished panel speaking about how Covid-19 impacted Women's Mental Health and what can be done to overcome discrimination and gender inequality around the world. In particular, she said, we hope that this evidence comes out quickly because women are disproportionately affected by negative impacts of Covid-19.
I am so happy, she continued, to have worked on this with the Permanent Mission of South Africa to the United Nations and The Netherlands to shine a light on Women's Mental Health impact in minority groups.
